Peaceful Pines Unit

Cabin Use / Retreat

Are you craving solitude? Do you seek a simpler, slower, unplugged experience in nature with your family?

Come experience a simple, rustic cordwood cabin overnight in the woods for a personal retreat or family adventure.  There are two units in one building (Peaceful Pines & Moonbeam Balm) with a shared composting toilet bathroom with sink (no running water). Wood stove for heat as needed. There is electricity. Each unit can accommodate 1-3 persons. Nearby shower & sauna a short walk through the woods.

UNPLUG! Take time to reflect, renew, nurture yourself. Participate in a workshop while here AND/OR assist in the daily activities for a day, a few days, a week (depending on availability).  Play with the chickens, garden a bit, help prepare a meal, hike the trails, forage for mushrooms, nap, participate in a class or pizza night, enjoy an evening campfire, walk the labyrinth and StoryWalk trail, help make soap or bread or pizza in the outdoor oven.

A LITTLE LESS RUSTIC: There are four extra rooms in the main residence - The Balsam Room (single bed), the Dahlia Room (a double bed), the Murphy Room (a double Murphy bed) and The Loft (2 single beds, access via a ladder).

Meals are shared in main residence.

The added Sauna & Shower building next door offers a  relaxing deep clean for that added experience of slowing down, being in the woods and renewing.

Come make sustainable memories!

FEES:  rate depends on length of stay (non-refundable deposit TBD)

The Transformation Game
Two Day Experience  (10am-4pm each day)
NEXT ONE: January 10-11, 2026 (Sat & Sun)

This 2-day (day-camp style or overnight) focuses on a personal challenge to gain insights/awareness and hone your abilities to work through it together (not therapy, not competitive, self-growth in a safe setting). For 2-4 players ages 16 and up. The game is facilitated by the host. Includes lunch & snacks each day, with breaks as needed.

Here's what past players are saying:

"I have been lucky enough to play the Transformation game twice and both times were life-changing experiences. The game has a light-hearted way of assisting the player to travel deep into their psyche and spirit to provide profound self truths and awareness." (Kris K 2019 & 2021)

"Barb is an exceptional guide through the Transformation Game. The game itself brought awareness to patterns and engaged my thought process to expand what was possible in my everyday life."

(Tanya H, 2019)

"The Transformation Game deepened the trust I have in my inner knowing and gave me numerous tools to build, rebuild, reimagine my place in the world.  It’s like a Google Earth for Your interior landscape – a tool that gives you a new perspective every time you use it. "  (Jenny H, 2021)

"The transformation game was very enjoyable to play.  It explores different areas of life. Some examples are physical, spiritual, and emotional. As I played, I received many insights into each of them. It showed what areas were personally more challenging than others. The game seemed to take on a life of its own, which is hard to describe. It is also interesting to watch the process for the other players. Hope to play it again. Definitely a worthwhile experience!"  (Joan I. 2019)

Have a friend or two who want to play? Let's set some dates! Weekdays or weekends.  Need minimum of two, maximum of four, participants to play.
